One of the sculptures produced for the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts during the summer 2002 was URCHIN STONE.
URCHIN STONE is a natural surf-tumbled stone. It's smooth contour is enhanced with a spiral pattern of polished stainless steel studs. Each stud is permanently anchored into the body of the stone with epoxy resin. This is a piece that I wanted to do for several years. It may become a series.
