Kala, or 'Unicorn Fish' Rockfish Sculpture

The 'Unicorn Fish' is known in the Hawaiian language as KALA. I have seen many of these large herbivors grazing upon algae in the shallow waters. The adult KALA has an actual bony horn in the middle of his forehead. The picture here is fairly accurate with the exception that the real fish has a much smaller horn. Naso unicornis is found world wide in tropical waters.The ones that I have seen were in Hawaii.
