Laguna Beach Festival of Arts 2003
I have been an exhibitor at this long running show for over 12
years. I enjoy being there with my artworks and communicating with my
friends and patrons about sculpture and the world of art. It is a
luxury to be able to meet people face to face. It is always a positive
experience. If you get the opportunity to attend this summer show,
please stop by and visit. There is much to enjoy.

It's just a lot of fun to show work at the Laguna Beach Festival of
Arts. There always seems to be something wonderful cooking, whether
it's ceramics demonstrations, video film series about art, workshops
for children, docent tours, or simply some of the finest artworks in
Southern Orange County, California. You can see it all at this upscale
seasonal event.
Please check out some of my work that I had at the show. This one is called Shock-N-Awe.

Rockfish Sculptures are very popular. This is the Coral Trout.

The Dada-Bird was also a very popular piece. It is a two headed
bird-teapot made from found objects including hot and cold faucets.

One of the subtlties of Dada Bird is the rugged, coarse welds.
These were intentionally made to look like an act of desperation. Part
of the insane whimsy of the bird-teapot-sculpture is the expressive
demonstration of 'Outsider Art'. Sorry if anyone thinks that I am a
poor ability welder. It's not easy to get these welds and brazes to be
so coarse.
The Dada Bird Teapot is currently on exhibition at
Trios Gallery in Solana Beach, CA
